Heyho,
I have a problem,
I am in possession of a canon xh-a1 - if I use the footage in premiere as mpeg2 capture this and give the friendly s.einen also a HDV cam (sony fx-1) - can not watch the footage in Final Cut editing.
The other, it is obviously the same - I can with his clips also do not start.
However, we are filming for the same project - there is certainly a solution - unfortunately we have not yet found - maybe I can help someone so here.

Capturing s.PC with HDVSplit etc. Readable with MPEG Streamclip s.Mac. Requires but always convert. So. M2t HDV in Streamclip to convert and then in Final Cut Pro edit. A better solution would be to complete work in an intermediate codec like Cineform, and it s.PC Mac. Synonymous or the Sheer video codec, which no gamma change. So you can really work s.gleichen material. But there is no HDV codec, which is for Mac and PC available. Also not in Quicktime. Therefore, some people share about synonymous uncompressed HD from Cineform is there but better. Would be great if Apple ProRes, DVCProHD and HDV synonymous in the PC would install Quicktime, for me for 20 euros.
