So what are the sharpness is concerned with the Canon HV20/30 and HF10/100
both up front in the ceiling below 1500 ¬.
Which of the two is better then was asked!
What for and against the HV20/30 Speaks:
-extremely loud noises when you drive without an external Micro just barely long silent shots movies can!
Daylight-Perfect Qual / sharpness (almost the same as HF100)
Lowlight-good (better than HF100)
-many manual functions (HFs for the missing part)
-twice as big as the HFs
-Viewfinder has only HV20/30!
-super 3.1 megapixel still images with truly impeccable images (such as 6MP Digi ne) and many functions (5 series flash photo under synonymous receptive possible etc.)
worse-wide (applies to both)
-only 10x optical zoom (12x HF!)
Basically saying the two cameras in its sector to deliver the best qualified!
However, they compete against each other is not!
The other is holding a small well-equipped AVCHD Freizeitcam, the other more of a Profssionelle (re) HDV cam for ambitious film!
Beit with before and disadvantage!
Sharpness during the day is almost identical.
Buying tip, they have both of mine.
Decide yourself whether you need to just get a small hobby Cam wants or something "real."

s.der post? I had 4 AVCHD cams and further bothered me not so much like all say! (I had Pinnacle 11 and a strong computer)
Nevertheless ists /'s pretty lässtig because you convert AVCHD without so much as no player can play ..
Perhaps ists only imagination but to me, the quality of the HDV codec for better than the AVCHD? Besides missing my camera feeling of small plates / card cams.
Had previously (Panasonic GS400, SONY cx6, Panasonic SD5, SD9, JVC HD3 and now the HV30 in which I will now set ...
I felt professionally postpress synonymous, but in really great at the HF and the lack Focusrad, viewfinders, and many manual settings, etc..

So yes, I believe you that you are strong with your PC and Pinnacle Studio 11 AVCHD can handle. But this is easier than mpeg2, moving and simply can not agree. High did you format an import problem, but basically mpeg2 is significantly easier to edit than AVCHD.

Net shop with WMP view was sometimes impossible ..
I had the burdensome with the supplied software, only to convert it in a editing program to use.
The reason was the hack: the transformation lasts exactly as long as AVCHD and incidentally crashed this scheiß JVC Program under Vista32 bit is always off! So I want s.JVC to 1 week for the support and needed a real bekahm antwort scheiß what beschärte me more problems than before.
And believe me, I know I am not bad with calculators out!
Finally landed this thing on eBay because I do not want herumärgern if I have around 1000 ¬ a Cam buy where promised economic "perfect for finishing" and incidentally Komprimierungsartevakte still great to see were and when the toppmodel!
Mpeg 2 is indicated here but absurt: they are. TOD files to their full names honor it!
For AVCHD says synonymous None MPEG4 ..

The main Tonproblem the HV30 can be good but with an external Microphone compensate. Then one has, for example:
A super-image for 850 Euro
One-Superton for 200 euros
= 1050 euro for a fairly good overall (base) equipment -> the SonySR11 cost about something synonymous to the rotation times and I say boldly that its internal Micro not against a Sennheiser MKE 400 or a Rode arrives:)
