Hi All,
I intend to buy my HF200. However, I would like to continue to use synonymous my underwater housing. This has been by my Sony Mini-DV LANC camera control. Is there an adapter or some other way that is synonymous again with the Canon?

Unfortunately, no - Canon has in this segment devices long ago by the Lanc standard adopted (except for the semi-pro division remains s.XH A1 upwards).
Canon (and Panasonic) Cams in UW housings can be controlled mechanically or via infrared.
Lanc You will find in the small area in the HD cams only for Sony - the "real" Lanc port, there were only up to HC9 - all follow thereafter (SR11/12, XR500/520, CX505/520), the control commands of the Lanc protocol " AV Remote "hidden ... but there are adapters.
Why do not you want to Sonybleiben?
And last question: What kind of housing is it?

HF200 LANC ... ... ... Is there an adapter ... There are actually Canon Of the approximately 100 euros expensive adapter RA-V1, which will be placed on the accessory shoe and then a remote control the camera via LANC allows (even interesting to think of what manufacturers to ask the customer for the camera functions in addition to the previously self-checkout to!). Thought is the official adapter for the HF S11, it is of some merchants, but offered synonymous explicitly as being suitable for the HF200.
