Infoseite // HG20, AVHC transfer: how to do it s.schnellsten?

Frage von Addie:

Hello,

I have a Canon HG20 and would like to know whether the transfer of files is doing something great for speed.

What goes s.schnellsten on your PC:

a) of the cam's internal hard drive via USB port (; of the plate is no different, right?

b) of the SD card via a card reader that is connected to the motherboard.

is c) of the SD card via a USB memory stick card reader, the s.den front USB connection

d) I have forgotten something?

Actually, I mainly wanted to record to SD card and insert it into the card reader, because I think s.bequemsten's, but my card reader has given up the ghost.
Before I buy myself a new, I ask, therefore, easy times.

Does that make a difference at all? Or does it depend on synonymous of the system resources? I have a DuoCore with 2x 2.67 GHz, 3 GB DDR-2 RAM, 512 MB ATI GraKa.
I will capture with Edius NEO 1.1 and probably do better soon with NEO 2nd

You can do it even when you copy to see what transfer rate is achieved. You will not generally 20MByte ~ / s cross - no such preference. The lower limit depends on the rule of the SD Card and not the card reader. The HG20 creates both of the hard drive as synonymous by the internal slot the maximum possible throughput. But because you have to always connect the AC adapter to transfer the data, possibly using an external USB SD card reader makes sense - the Übertragsungsrate which remains unchanged.

Nee,

can not see yet, she is still on its way to me ... ;-).
To buy question, because I considered it, almost a new card reader with. But if I SDHC card (; with Transcend 16 GB Class 6) in the USB stick and the place of -2.0 before makes no difference, then I can save my money.

If Deti has tested it himself - it will be correct.

(For digital SLR cameras tests, Canon) has, however, that despite the fastest card "only" be rüberschaufeln about 7 MB per second, no preference whether Class 2,4,6 or 10 - SD cards. There you have with (a card reader, USB 2.0, of course) and a Class 10 card an even faster data transfer geschaft.

Whether just 7 MB / sec or 10-11 MB / sec should be perfectly eh no preference for the Normalkunden - then you stop drinking a coffee in a 32 GB card .....

The difference between digital camera and camcorder of Canon reveals USB-sided due to the protocol: A Canon digital camera uses the PTP protocol, which was designed specifically for the transfer of pictures and unfortunately, this produces a lot of overhead. A Canon video camera provides the data via USB mass storage available, corresponding to a normal drive access. The HG20 is faster compared to the HF100 at about 30%, whereby the inserted SD card becomes the limiting factor. The exact results I have already published views in the forum.

All right, look at you but because two or three euros more you can get one that already synonymous with Micro cards. That's what I missed when I'm upset and a little bit about it. But of the speed are all equal. I think there are three different'll just have to compare anything but the Prices are all about less than 10 euros.

Ok, do you know about. I know that there are differences between the USB interface of a DSLR and a Videoakameras, but I was not particularly busy.
