Hello everybody. I have a small problem. Some time ago, a calculator with me the blessed time. In the course of my life in this way accumulated more and more hard disks. Now I have at least 5 for which it is worth weiterhinn external to be used. Now I had not lust 5 Housing to buy still more 10Kabel to have around.
Has one of you an idea as I have these old plates s.besten external can manage.

why external?
Intern is synonymous with plenty of space and there is the changing context,
a method which is in our film club has proven.

The question must halt, if you hard at about 100 or 200GB should still continue. At current prices gigabyte can loose 2-4 of those a Model 400/500GB replace (approximately 80 to 100 euros) and the coal that you invest in a NAS, it is synonymous in a good, big aluminum housing for the Calculator stuck.
The biggest advantage NAS sure if one of several computers to access the data needs.

Markus I have a Miditower. And that was certainly a low-cost housing. Currently have 3 optical drives and three hard disks and a card reader installed. And space would be for another 2 hard disks. Five plates on top of each other but could then lead to thermal problems. Time, aside from that you then have a need to bring full power. My devices are working with the Geforce 6600GT only in a constellation flawlessly. If I use the wrong plug together ever break the power supply together.
But Wehcselrahmen but sounds good! When you need to have simultaneous access all hard disks.

Backup and high speed at the same time - 4x500er plates in the NAS are imho the best in self and non-synonymous expensive. Why your sweetie than dirt beschimpfst is unclear to me. Would be nice if your view could justify synonymous.

1. the device is nowhere near each plate.
2. The installation is absolutely nothing for the layman.
3. On EACH of the calculator will use the NAS need appropriate software installed.
4. The support from Netgear is arrogant and stupid.
As I said, the part is around here and take away space.

1. Maybe, but not everybody as Manufacturer
2. Depending on the manufacturer is synonymous
3. No point of criticism in my eyes. Is designed for stationary use

NAS systems are, unfortunately, only of the data is much slower than internal disks if you do not what to sound like and Fiber Channel RAID picks.

4 Installation for removable hard part, SATA

An external casing, in which the change of frame.
Ergo: I can any hard drive full with either internal or external SATA speed s.jedem arbitrary Calculator with USB 2.0 or e-Sata use.
External housing costs about 45 euros. Mounting frame about 25 euros. Single Exchange under 8 euros. Everything from the Manufacturer Stardom.
Quality einwandfrei. For slightly more money, there is still synonymous stable external enclosure in which the hard drive very well protected.
I have about 15 hard disks installed in frames. Piece by piece, all other synonymous come in a frame. Similar solutions exist for IDE disks synonymous.
