HI8 videos in bester qualität auf den PC überspielen?!

Hi8 videos in best quality, transfer it to PC?

Frage von Timek:
Oktober 2005

Hi Leutz,

Ich hab nen normal Hi8 camcorder which I have a cinch cable connected .... I then transferred the hi8 videos with Pinnacle Studio 9 .... If I film it on dvd burning with 100% quality is still useable as still a very big difference! the picture is very pixelated .... that quali has deteriorated still a lot .....
How can I burn my Hi8 video almost 1 to 1 on DVD??

Greeting Timeks

Hello Timeks

How long is because the film-established on the calculator?

As of 2 hours, you should use a good encoder (ProCoder2).
Better spread over 2 DVDs.

If the movie is in the calculator in order (good) making top looks like you can with good results in 6000-7000 kbps MPEG2.

If the material is disturbed / slightly rauschig I would leave Blur-Filters/Weichzeichner run over the material and then convert it to MPEG2.

Nightfly

Antwort von Stefan:

A good start is the beginning of all DVD ... Videos digitize well. If it does not go through RCA S-Video rather than go in to the calculator. A 08/15 video input on a graphics card or TV card is not the ultimate.

Capture and processing of the appropriate codec to use. Real-time MPEG2 encoding in software is very demanding and possibly at the expense of image quality. MJPEG is an interesting alternative.

Used for the manufacture of the MPEG2 high-quality MPEG encoder. Quiet time trial versions of the usual suspects to try.

And set the appropriate MPEG encoding parameters. In particular, do not skimp s.Bitrate. And if 2-pass encoding is the synonymous use. But above all, want to squeeze too much onto a DVD, 60 minutes is adequate with the rolling material.

Good luck
The fat Stefan

Higher bit rates generally do not entail much more
ZUMNIDEST nothing visible to the eye.
Say it need not be 1on1.

Antwort von Nightfly!:

1.) For capturing:
You can with Virtualdub or synonymous with Pinnacle, the material of the camera capturing. Here, you should use in the capture settings, DV-AVI codec and use it as a full quality gecapured be
(Pinnacle not SmartCapture BUT tab recording format (Setup -> DV recording format (see Manual))
(virtualdub http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/capture/capturing.html)

RESULT: an AVI file on your calculator.

2.) DVD-Video:
Go directly with Pinnacle or with Nero. (And others)

With Pinnacle "edition of the movie on a DVD" You have to "Settings eighth" and raise the quality of the video here at kbps possibly time to 8000.

Starting at Nero "Nero Express", select "DVD" -> AVI file and add the "next"!

RESULT: Film on DVD (quality would at 60-90min) to be good.

Hello Timeks,

Answers to (all) of your questions for capturing Hi8 recordings you'll find in the next post. It is possible for capturing more synonymous with the graphics card - and, above all, what quality you could achieve in other ways. ;-)
