While I have the whole SonyHDR-HC1 forum searches, but so far no exact answer to my question.

What is important to me: If I buy HC1 and with this in HDV quality movies and this material then in DV quality to bring the PC (for lack s.HD fitness). What has the material for a quality?
Which camera you can compare it? VX 2100?

There was a few months ago take a Comparison in a video magazines, about the quality of DV conversion from HDV material via software. Alternatively, still remains the DV HDV Auspielung of material through the Camera.

In the last C't 02/2007 was also something that the HDV cameras because of "oversampling" (???) a top DV quality to have.

The wiederspricht but a few others have read the test, which has the quality of the DV HDVs not so great cut. Here, however, equally filmed in DV, that is NOT runterkonvertiert.

The thing is actually quite simple. The down conversion of HDV to SD on the chips in the cameras is normally something even better than the high-end NLEs can. Is perhaps not quite for the FX1 - albeit synonymous there is good enough - but surely for HC1 and HC3.

The so obtained SD material is usually erste Sahne, it's good quality SD material, and in 16:9. With regard to the material Farbsampling offers even more directly than Beaarbietungsreserven filmed in SD material. Presumably because of the original 4:2:0 material requires higher material (which is synonymous only 4:2:0, but I am zuwenig theorists in this field in order to be able to explain).
