Hi,

das thema gabs been determined to accumulate but I ask the question again!
I have a panasonic nv gs 500 and closing via firewire to. software at the moment I use premiere 2.0. if I can render the finished film, I use standard settings ie 756x ... 25 FPS PAL.
the finished film has a rather moderate overall quality. I can capture the quality of the renderings and improved by video editing I use instead of the firewire port, what opportunities there are to increase quality?

No, does not capture the s.der quality. A video card that has no benefit. A digital signal can not be better than it is.
If anything, the rendering is what do I render, if I had DV (fortunately very rarely) directly in 10 bit and 4:2:2, quasi uncompressed (ProRes 4:2:2). These do I find more quality settings, such as optimal filtering and quality sowas (Final Cut Pro). Animations, Titling and Compositing look so much better than if they were rendered in DV.

True, the "capture" is the normal DV workflow actually in the sense no more, which makes the camera during the recording. Then the video digitally on tape before. I see several possibilities:
1) Your material is not particularly good (eg in bad light), but you did it until after the cut s.Television viewed and can not grasp it now. ;)
