Hello Forum,
'm s.der Canon XH A1 very interested. How does it work when in HDV format recording, but in the whole IR cut and want to spend? What happens to convert from HDV to DV format? Happens when dubbing from Cam to PC or need a software that converts this format?

The HC3 makes so synonymous. Like in the Canon is you can look in the manual.

I would s.liebsten cut in HDV, but the whole (smart capturing, PC performance, authoring HDV) makes me a little grief!
It comes back, we stop everything as before, as in the early days of DV cut!

No idea how your PC looks like equipment. But even with an old 3.2 Ghz P4 with only 1 GB of Ram I regularly cut my HDV as HDV movies, using of Edius 4 or Vegas 7th Goes perfectly. In this rather antiquated hardware are still some limitations in the real-time capabilities in the preview - if you cut natively. But even so you can bypass. The render times are longer, but we must not sit.
If you are in a today's PC of the rod invest - with a 2-core Conroe Processor ala 6600 - you cut the material as well as DV, the right NLE vorrausgesetzt.
Authoring is still a problem, because today's HD-DVD player is still not 1080 50i, but only 1080 60i can and the burner as players are still overpriced - so most people here should have to wait.
