Frage von Thorsten:

Hello everybody!

I would like to see like an infrared light for night shots even "tinker," as the integrated recordings> 3m too dark. To this end I have a Mag-Lite with an infrared filter paper used.

Now the following problem. I'm at the required wavelength of the filter is not secure. What wavelength is s.besten for the sensitivity of the CCD camera capable of and what is the maximum wavelength which I can use. 950nm would be ok, or "see" the wavelength of the ccd no longer?

Antwort von Stefan:

Maglite as IR euchte should go. In any case, there is purchasable accessory filters for

950nm is very much in the near IR, that is quite dark. For IR photography is typical for all types of cameras 720nm filter, which still shows a dark red. Better (more sensitive) cameras take a 800nm filter, which is no longer visible light through.

On http://www.kaya-optics.com/devices/normal_camcorder.shtml sensitivity curve is shown. In a 950nm filter is not much left. Their PF2 or PF4 filter what would have been more.

Or, the LP750 of Eureca http://www.peltierelement.com/german/lensoptic/filter.html

Good luck

@ Thorsten

.... The CCDs have video cameras in the area before a blocked filter, which up to 1.1 micron wavelength is suppressed, because the different depths of light admission to an otherwise vague and blurred picture comes. The relatively high sensitivity in the red area otherwise would be too high a load Photo s.das Register dissipate.
You müstest to try an old camera, this filter to identify and to remove coating from the CCD ... then you probably need no more IR lights .....

forget mag-lite as an IR emitter. s.besten are capable of IR LEDs. Halogen lamps bring synonymous nor what, but not so much. Neon lights, you can completely forget bulbs synonymous.

tried everything, if you want, I send you pictures of them.

what camera do you have? at a sony, this is no problem - easy to NIGHTSHOT - already is the infrared-block filter away.

what you are looking for is an IR-pass filter. ich würd take one for 850nm. Sony CCDs are sensitive in the IR range than others, but have only 950nm in daily intake (IR-pass filter + NIGHTSHOT s.tag - nice effect) in strong sunlight for a meaningful.

another note: search on eBay strong IR LEDs, which thou hast s.meisten. There are synonymous IR spotlights ready to buy. Costs around 20-50 euros.

Antwort von Thorsten:

Thank you for your answers, really helped.

So I have a Sony camcorder, it is of the filter with the lock no problem.

@ Peter06
The Mag-Lites are still halogen lamps, or not?
In any case, I've exposed slide film with an intent as the Mag-Lite very good results.

I will say with a 830/850 nm filter sample.

Again many thanks s.euch,
Thorsten

Let me send your email, then I send you pictures of a Maglite 3D + 850nm filter in Comparison to SonyHVL-HIRL.

Concerning infrared thee is perhaps synonymous interested in:

Hello Again!

@ Peter
No longer necessary since I already bought filter. Nevertheless, many thanks.

But I have to say, the result is highly satisfactory. A Picture of 20m and next is no problem.

Here are the Maglite with filter attachment.
