Hi folks,
I'm an absolute novice, what video editing is concerned. I have before me my first Camera to buy. I have recently bought a new MacBook. This is the largest of the MacBooks with the following equipment:
2.4GHz
* Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.4 GHz
* 4 GB DDR3 RAM
* 250 GB Disk1
* NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU
Now a question to me whether I am with this hardware at all films in HD content can edit. Can you please give some info? Sorry do not really know me so well!

I realize that it with a powerful desktop better. But for me it is important that it actually works!

Yes, it works and quite passable. Did the Macbook with 2.0 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. Although cutting is rarely so, but it is already passable so as I said, HDV synonymous. And you should be synonymous again a bit faster.
