Here's the command output to video, although the gs400 starts with REC, but he is not building on.

Hello,
but please check times in the manual that came with the GS400.
On Page 50 is the menu setting described (TAPE PLAYBACK MENU), which has AV IN / OUT to be set.
To record must then REC and> simultaneously pressed.
Hopefully these hints will help you.

Hello, thank you for your tips s.alle, but it was not.
The error quite simple but not easy to find. Due to tips in the forum, I have swapped the cable and lo and behold it was to blame. It seems simple but sometimes broken cable. The works of LACIE.
So simple and yet so complicated.
