I have the following problem. I use a program where (I am with my camcorder in Calculator; live image) then go up the text and then put the whole spend by beamer. It works so well in so far as over Firewire. The problem is that I now I need a little more distance between Cam and Calculator and to need a long cable about 50m. Now I'm looking for ne cheap solution.
Problem.
A 50m Firewire cable there is not for sale. Then there's Firewire to Cat5 Extender probably with good cables, the bridge at about 76m! But beyond the cost of the 250 ¬ limit. But this is far too expensive for me.
Alternative:
You take a well-shielded and crimped cable (; with RCA / BNC connectors) and analog output goes ibid reconsider the action s.den PC.

Firewire is not intended for lines representing more than 10 meters. Often synonymous with 5 meters schluß.

Thanks for the answer! So I just may opt for a short Firewire cable to say as about 4.5 m or less! And then of Camera directly s.Laptop. I then synonymous with the delay had less problems! Or I take the external solution and needs to invest more money in order to use the Cam in the longer distances!
