I am looking for my video mixer low cost "only" cameras can be synonymous with no recording function.
One possibility would be to take a cheap camcorder.
But at what you can s.Videoausgang all symbols (Comp., S-Video) off permanently?
On my JVC MG 505 can be the off, but after a while the camera goes from there.
When recording, you can not switch off these impressions.
Which low-cost camcorder that goes permanently?
Or are there cheap "pure" cameras?

So, you do just a device that you provide a video image via S-video or composite?
How about with a surveillance camera?

Should already have a similar image quality (HD does not need to be), 10 times opt.Zoom, LCD monitor as a viewfinder.
Hence an Assistant Watch-Camera is rather inappropriate.

Then you should maybe you grab your little JVC including Manual and times available from the menu for an "off-with-no-activity 'feature.
Each camera has something and it is a simple energy-saving function. All camcorder I have ever used in my life had this feature. Look for.
