Lowlight errors and image noise in a brand new Panasonic NV-GS320EG

Frage von fragestunde:
Mai 2007

I've been 4 days the proud owner of a Panasonic NV-GS320EG.
Already s.ersten days when I was a test, the relatively strong noise in the room lights on (not very bright lighting, nevertheless sounded the Lowlight capability in a variety of tests and reports a lot better).
So far so good ... I thought that for ¬ 450, - obviously not a professional device may be expected and pleased me about the really beautiful and the colors on the recording is not audible, very low running noise. Also the various functions of the camera and its ease of use I was really impressed.

Well ... today I have for the first time by a Firewire Recording (with "Sweet Movie Life" brought to the PC and made a rather unpleasant discovery: When camera pans to s.Kanten (table edges, but synonymous edges of faces, etc.) to small, horizontal black stripes, which the edge "fray" and immediately after the camera swivel disappear. We see this disorder is not very obvious, but on closer Give Eight pretty clear.
The Firewire port as a source of error, I have excluded, by getting another video via USB to the computer did. On the camera display itself is nothing to see what I do on the small size and not just high resolution back.

Now my question: Why is that?
OIS s.aktivierten Can it be? On DV tape (brand new Panasonic ME)? The settings (everything on the car, but I've played around a bit in advance)? Is this something normal? Or is the camera is damaged?

With the noise in Lowlight would I still be able to live (synonymous when it was quite disappointing), this image disturbance in camera pans but they are really all sow - as does my old Noname-VHC-C camcorder cleaner shots. If that is the "normal", then I feel pretty verarscht and cheated to 450 euros. If someone a reason for these problems know (now that the operator error or technical error) then please say!

lg,

It is an old story and yet it is always new and whom she just happens to break the heart asunder.

Do not worry about the video render times out (possibly Halbbildreihenfolge exchange) and see you then.

Antwort von Udo Schröer:

Play the video look at a TV s.and shows whether it is gone.

This is normal: These structures are created by the "interlacing", ie the division of a frame into two fields.

If the video is processed accordingly, either interlaced DVD player or "progressive" for PC, which then is nothing more to see.

Thanks for taking anxiety! :)

And also, I apologize for the same double-post my message. But I did not know whether they are in general or in the Panasonic range is better.

I suspect strongly stop times that the Panasonic software is quite dirty - I must look at other tools train, then I might check synonymous, as I have the video "interlaced" or "progressive" save.
So I see the true principle that the interlaced video on the tape is stored? Interlaced or the Panasonic software The Picture Capturing the car? And if it does - then does not adversely affect the image quality?

Hello again,

I hope I have understood everything well and you can do right now to explain :-) Otherwise, please correct me.

The video is on the tape, as the camera records. The bulk of the cameras is "interlaced" to synonymous Your GS320 makes it so.

Transferring to PC is usually only a "stupid" process in which actually only one file is copied, so no machining, forming, etc.

First of all you have then is a DV-AVI File "interlaced" s.PC available. Depending on the editing, you can output a variety of formats with several options in turn. In my software (I use Magix), I can, for example, MPEG files either interlaced or progressive generate. The former produce s.PC of the strip you described, but are as good for use s.DVD player, because a commercial television, the picture is also built in two fields. As a "progressive" exported, can I use the MPEG files without disturbing s.PC strip view.

For other formats such as WMV, there are (at least in my software), only "progressive".

Markus

On picture error has already been thoroughly received.

I want a few words about LowLight write. I myself have compared shots with a SonyD8 (trv240) and the GS320 in typical living room lighting (light bulbs, halogen, and energy-saving lamps) made. In order to be able to compare, I then in VDL between the two video recordings divided the screen and on DVD, a comparative perspective s.TV can be made.

With the quality of Sonywar I have never been satisfied (in different outdoor scenes). The GS320 is available in this discipline to lengths better than the Sony, however, I would be synonymous to me at a really good quality otherwise imagine. Much more seems to be synonymous in this price segment is not to go.

Lowlight regard it is of course so that a CCD camera with larger 's (eg the GS500) is certainly much better results. This has obviously synonymous its price (if I look at the GS500 to the GS320 compare with results in a difference of ~ 400 euros). Nevertheless, I must say that I am the noise of the GS320 in artificial (in my case, a 19m ² room, illuminated with 4 spots each of 25 watts in the reception area, 60-watt bulb next to it about 3 meters) for the Panasonic here what promises to be "fairly disappointing believe. Iris Decrease mainly affects very positively to the image noise from: One sees only ever contours ...

Hi,

not now the ruling power of Sony is always much better ...

I had last SonyPC 110 & 120 at a ceremony, and was incredibly shocked what the top consumer models of the years around 2003 concerning a Picture generate. Nothing with the whole SonyLobreden, my cousin had Pana GS 80 (start price) - you now hold, which had SonyTop Consumer although the picture in sharper Lowlight, much brighter, it was not - if not vice versa (PC 120). They have red / yellow tinge when WAG tungsten, Pana was very neutral with Automatic White Balance! what did not go to indoor shots.

I think you have very high standards, but please use a video light times.

Somewhere Megapixler must halt their "great" Photo & financial function, unfortunately, stop at the expense of Lowlightbildes.

Jup, I should really try. But high standards are just relative. The optimal light conditions will be, especially in interior spaces, and rarely find. Video light, but anyway on my "Wish List" (next wide premeditation).

This great photo, I could really function without any problems renounce;)

Hi Benni,

With this discovery, you're not alone, because that is all so that is "perfectly normal video recordings of a very ordinary camcorder" s.einem images unsuitable for video output device (here: the computer monitor) screen sizes.
