Infoseite // MPG file with DVD Shrink-Shrink

Frage von pkirschke:

Hello User,
I've converted a movie 3 avi files (total 1.7 GB) with the MainConcept Encoder 1.5 into a MPG file (9.4 GB). How do I shrink them with DVD Shrink so far, so they fit on a DVD? Is there somewhere a German manual for DVD Shrink or me can someone describe in detail the procedure for my problem?

Antwort von pkirschke:

Hello,
I have with MainConcept 1.5 opens the avi-file and the mpg output file with the 'Einf'-button added to a list. I am also taken with the other two files. Last I then set output an mpg file and run the conversion. It then becomes a 9.4 GB large file. So I will now shrinker to DVD standards. Gruß Paul

Antwort von grovel:

It is probably to highly compressed AVI files (XviD, DivX).

If you the quality is important, then you should reencodieren directly with Main Concept and a lower bit rate, since the result will be better algorithm than with the DVD Shrink. To use DVD Shrink to the Project must anyway in DVD format (Video_TS folder) exist, not as an MPEG file. But there is synonymous with MPEG transcoder which make the same. (I unfortunately no link available, but Google should find. Doom9 is generally always a good resource)

Hello Groveler,
Thanks for your tip. I'm not so experienced with MainConcept. Where as I would have to burn and make the settings for a lower bit rate, so I finished the mpg file onto a double-layer DVD can. Thank you in advance for a detailed description. Gruß Paul
