Hi! I got started in the HDV editing the demo of MSP8 downloaded. Before the compilation of a new C2D system I wanted on my laptop with Centrino Duo times to test how well the multithreading the program works. Result: It does not. The CPU utilization will not exceed 50%, is the utilization of a core high, is that of the other low. And I had about the purchase for a Quad Core MSP8 thought ... What is going on? Thank you! The program discussed here I do not know, but can it really be that MSP8 synonymous not support multithreading? Why is it just for video editing even a quad-core is recommended, if not even a dual core is exhausted?

Why no one knows what to say about this topic? Is it finally of vital importance and affects everyone, with the HDV and / or complex effects work. Or is it a multi-core owners usually no preference if its many cores bored and rendering just as long as on a good old single-core? Four cores on the PC to have is a tempting idea, but I give no money but, if it is purely garnicht ... Would be not bad if a few multi-core users sometimes could express.
