Promising News on manual audio level control.
Although not themselves have 550D, but I am of Magic Lantern s.der 5DM2 still enthusiastic. Is the only truly professional audio control, synonymous during the recording level is the visible / changeable.
As you can read on the ML website, there is ne first working version of Magic Lantern for the 550D .. Runs s.Firmware 1:08

Habs trying times and can confirm that the current version is run. Apart from an audio level meter although it has no added value.

only the audio level meter, or you can control the synonymous? Since the unused EOS550 in film mode no keys remain, can not be changed in the menu of the Magic Lantern firmware. In this respect, nothing is set. It could be, however, that one can make about the magiclantern.cfg File a setting.

The manual setting of audio levels does not yet work with this version. So you can regulate anything.
