Frage von Colonia:

Hi,

I post now for the first time here and would like to introduce myself.
I have been working as a photographer in Munich and would like to offer my complete with video. I have the 5D II and I of ARRI have bought a light box. I'm still practicing in the status and Learn. Before I turn s.potentielle customers, I have to add some more Learn and possibly my equipment, rig, follow focus etc.. To get first look at cutting, etc., I have bought to begin with Magix Deluxe 16 Premium.
Now to my question. What I offer Programs such as Final Cut or Premiere addition? On what do I do without right now? Work area should be training and industrial videos.
Thank you for your answers.

Welcome :-)

Professional software, I know now synonymous actually only heard about. Good hab, a look at just a taste of the other Adobe and Avid can.

I personally use Magix becoming synonymous times and finally install my Magix PRO X.

I say it this way: professional editing software reads synonymous professional files and outputs professional formats.
The encoder will be better. The processing offers much more freedom, less pre-effects.

The training takes sometimes very long and expensive is the professional solution synonymous.

Magix and similar Programs do, however, synonymous already amazing and I say: most do not encounter this s.Grenzen quickly, although I had already read this. Much is at Magix example, not precisely described in the manual, even though it is - just to try and error.

In the area you're so professional.

Since you're going to be a professional first.

It can occur naturally, you want customers to see over your shoulder when editing. And say one or the other like: "Ugh - MAGIX> puppet program."
And well: to be if professional video industry, it is perhaps more the professional software required.

To Learn and to the introduction to the Magix is very good.

However, if you already know you want to later create professional videos, it is recommended but may be more synonymous for the beginning been a professional solution, because with all the similarities between the programs (synonymous in Comparison beginner and professional software) the handling is in the details to part but very different.

And, the switch to another program it may be difficult.

I am aware of the Magix program, but in such a short thing I can think what separates the wheat from the chaff:
3-way color correction, color wheel, YUV Curves, vector scope, waveform monitor, histogram, zebra, layout, much better codecs, better audio processing (mixer, filters), better integration of external (video -) Hardware, use multiple monitors, work with sequences, multi-camera mode (alpha) mask, keyer, better media management, Marker, 10-bit, 50P, different user profiles / layout management, stability ...

-> EDIUS 6

I'm doing a very interesting Comparison between Magix trial and Premiere Pro CS4.

I have worked extensively in both Programs.

Magix made zicken synonymous with me until I increased the Windows TMP to 50GB. Since then, Magix runs pretty fast and can be very fast to create sizeable projects.

Premium is perhaps much much more powerful, but is even more Goats.
Especially with the sizes. I'm s.Verzweifeln just because have a Project, in which I certainly have 100 hours invested now partout can not render. Premiere crashes only if it meets with Quick Time files.

Hello

I worked for 2 years synonymous with Magix Video Deluxe 16 Premium.
Initially only SD cut, smaller projects, no problem.
Then lately HD Video 720p 50 and so the problems started.
The program crashes regularly.
I use to cut a quad core with 4 GB Ram and an Nvidia Geforce 8600 GS.

I was with the workflow of Magix s.sich satisfied, but the stability was the problem. Siicherlich it is on other users do not like that, but these crashes have prompted me to upgrade to Edius 5.5 and it has done me no harm. Runs very stable.
If you now have Magix before, I would work synonymous with it, as you indicate you catch even with the Viideoschnitt beginning.
Only with time you will see for yourself whether the program is right for you or not, you can still change.

Perhaps worthwhile to upgrade to video deluxe 17? Is it stable?

First cut at Magix, or if you have the money left over will buy premiere. Yes, the functions such as 3-way color correction, Vectorscopeetc. I miss no more. However, the question is how much one uses it.
I own a lot of movies with the 5d. A follow focus, in my view makes sense only if you were clever glasses (CP2 of Carl Zeiss for example).
Buy commanding a clever Tripod (eg Sachtler FSB6), a view finder (Zakuto Z-Finder I can only recommend and a shoulder support. Then would come with a compendium of 4x4 filters.

The professionals not hot and not Edius Premiere, Avid and Final Cut instead. It may be that Edius and Premiere can do what, some perhaps even better, but professional software is that with which professionals work and not what Program. I do not know a single commercial section in the whole of Cologne at the Premiere or Edius running. And so that is synonymous answered the question, the difference in exchange with professionals in second place in the support of third party in terms of hardware and FX.

marc ballhaus is absolutely right - of professional software usually only do people use who have learned to deal in training and set their employer or client in this infrastructure.
Take the Avid Media Composer, which is the de facto industry standard for video editing: the handling is, by today's standards, totally awkward and really useful only possible via keyboard shortcuts. The processing and rendering of HD material itself is horribly slow on fast machines. Consumer format like AVCHD can be used only after transcoding. Multiple video effects can be combined only a few intuitive unfolding of the video track and audio effects, only 4 per lane per clip and None are directly applicable. Many audio - and video effects need to be rendered to have a result in the preview - this multi-core systems are still rarely used well, resulting in long waiting times.

Would you pay ¬ 2,400, if your editor synonymous with some work and others, could the authorities would not insist on?

PS: A highlight of the MC is actually the motion tracking - especially the integration with many effects.

what do they offer more? freedoms in the cut, with good einarbeit a much better workflow - and - more control.
one moves away of predefined presets is to own.

But - magix enough for the beginning, as is cutting programs with all (!). then perhaps synonymous clear where the priorities will be.
