Hi,
I have just tested my new tripod head Manfrotto 501HDV. What really bothers me: when starting up "stuck" to the head set slightly, which creates a small stuttering.
Now my question:
If the 504HD or the new 503HDV the same problems? Is this only because the 501HDV is not a true fluid head?

Have now tested again Wiet. If the head is constantly "in use", then the bonding is not felt.

EDIT: I've used the Velbon DV7000 (with SonyPD170). This "cheap" tripod, I had never seen these problems, not synonymous at -10 ° C in winter. The only problem is my new Camera (SonyAX2000) a little too heavy / long / large for the DV7000.

The "stick" at the start is not unusual for the cheaper teflon Manfrotto Video bid for. One just needs to move before an intended swing, the plain a few times. In the 701-head appeared on the suffering after 2 years at my current 501 yet.
I read somewhere that the first 503-capita real s.dem Vikos oil.

My Sachtler weighs too much to fly, either clothing or Tripod? The Libec weighs 3 pounds! To pan is tuned a thick rubber band ...

Check out the FSB 4 / 6 heads to, zero problems so far with minimum temperatures of -30 °, very nice, buttery soft handling.
The FSB 2 I would recommend only if it is not financially other way, it is cam for your already borderline.

The support system should be reasonably easy to handle and well, as I film to 80% weddings and events where you must build times fast elsewhere.
I had a Vinten synonymous times (with spreader) - the horror! Much too heavy and unwieldy.
"Handiro" has now brought me to Libec. Seem to be confused concerning the things from the Far East, at least the RS series I like very much.
Unfortunately I do not find a good shop that sells the Libecs. NEN has a tip?
