Infoseite // Matrox P750 synonymous suitable for 3d application?

Frage von cuttin:

Hello community,

My question is directly already in the 'Subject': Is the Matrox P750 synonymous suitable for 3d application? Specifically I am thinking s.Cinema4D later vllt. Lightwave synonymous.

Eigendlich the new PC to video post-production will be designed, but I want to start synonymous with 3D, so this question.

Thanks for any answers & experiences!

To put it short: Almost not.

Although the P750 supports interfaces such as DirectX and OpenGL (the latter more for 3D animation) important, but by far not the 3D graphics performance of a cheap Nvidia or ATI card.

But as long as your 3D worlds are not particularly complex, you were allowed to work synonymous with the Matrox. (eg simple animations title).

But believe me, Cinema and Lightwave Mechen only with a good Nvidia or ATI card fun.

One possibility would be: combining a PCI / AGP Nvidia / ATI card with a PCI Matrox, however, is likely to be even with HDV quickly close if it works at all.

Frankly, the fact remains, therefore: "You must decide what is more important to you: The specific functions of the Parhelia video or 3D acceleration of ATI / Nvidia. Both in a calculator is not quite possible.

Hello,

First of thanks for the Fleet Response;).

So, you say "not fast". Did 3D title animations should be no problem. OK, a bit more I want to have what I would be interested: How far has a Dend from the lack of 3D support for the Matrox P750? Is the speed of previewing a 3D object, then more slowly, or should I expect with the disadvantages?

As it is with the 3D capabilities of After Effects, such as does the performance of the P750?

Furthermore I would like to know which card you of ATI / NVIDIA'd recommend, of which there are no cards that are better run "3D" and still support 2 outputs, plus the TV out of AE / PP? ;)

Thanks & greetings,

The main disadvantage is the fact that the preview is slower. The more 3-D objects in the picture are, the more viscous is the system that goes with the Matrox quite quickly. And liquid dei 3D animation work is simply important, otherwise it's not fun.

The 3D features of After Effects also run much faster, because synonymous based on OpenGL.

I personally tend more to nVidia, because of ATI:
1. me is the OpenGL nVidia Drivers of better before and
2. There are good drivers synonymous with Linux

That ATI usually has the better picture in the TV-out.

Which card you take, always depends only on the budget. I would (to the middle class models of approximately 200 euros) guessing. They always have a good price-/Leistungsverhälnis. However, their models even go through 3 months in rotation, that I'm not exactly up to date.

But there is no doubt whom, of the straight white.

So Forum: What is the most recent and cheap?
