In my current Asus Notebook with GeForce GTX 460M I could enable the GPU via Configanpassung and and it works without problems with the Mercury engine.
Currently there are several new Sandy Bridge notebooks come along that often with the 540M GPU. Has anyone tested whether the 540M can be activated as well?
Of course, this is much weaker than the 460-but he should definitely be interesting for some people.

The screen is not the best and ne resolution 1300, he also not true for my HD material. But if there's a nice screen fits planted beside synonymous this Unfortunately I now have none left HD cable here. But I'll try next week yet.
I just think about whether I should wait with my own new purchase still synonymous since the 53-er Asus and Dell XPS are the "only" with 540M GPU's. Currently, the 14-15-equipped notebook, he is still relatively poor area with Sandy Bridge CPU and GPU potent mix ... But there will certainly go a bit more.
Just a pity that there will not be the IdeaPad Y470 in Switzerland: o (
