Infoseite // Mini-DV: Kamer coverage is always shown as open

Frage von mattes:

Hello,

I have a problem with my 4 years old Mini-DV SonyDCR-HC20E.

The camera was actually the last few years mainly in the cupboard and was not used. Now I have it again rausgeholt because I fly to Spain and am s.verzweifeln. Have the camera cover is open, but it does nothing. The LCD, as well as the viewfinders are synonymous black. At the beginning of the open door stood still "cover not open" Now there is nothing more and it just stays dark.

In settings, it can not lie, did the RESET button and it's still the same.

For me, yes, the smell a little loose contact, but the camera was not used as I have said and is synonymous guaranteed never hingefallen!

There was just so of their own.

Who knows because the Council and perhaps even knows what the problem is? Would be an expensive repair?

Dake in advance

Hello,
After a long search had even found an answer. My Cam is still from the period 2002 - 2004 in which a few well-known manufacturer and what verbockt by faulty CCDs in their digicams and camcorders have installed.

Since I use the second camera only for holiday videos used, so the only way 2 times a year, is to me what happened and noticed late.

As I understand it, but the CCD is replaced free of charge.
Stupid would be just the thing if I do not get back before the holidays.
Would like my expensive reluctantly, with a good cam to Barcelona, since it is just so thieves abound.

Anyone who maybe times via google here it encounters with the same problem, here the link to Sony's statement with the model numbers and the hotline:

[link removed by mod, which was wrong anyway]

Nevertheless, thanks for the help ;-)

I want you so do not take the hope, but the error that you describe, is with a CCD defect not explained. The so would "only" to the image recording effect during playback and other functions should work correctly.

Hello,

Ich bins nochmal.

I think that it really s.dem of error is found me.
The play works so, I can also synonymous record, while I take but only sound, the picture remains black.

On the American Sony-Page, there was a step by step Eklärung how you can find out whether it is the known error and I agreed on everything.

Viewfinder and LCD are synonymous black, when I cam to the wall socket.

Hab echt already tried everything and the production error is the only logical and verifiable explanation

If everything else works (from your first post was not entirely clear), then appears with the CCD is indeed the culprit to be found. So s.with a good piece on Sony!
