Infoseite // Mini DV Workfliow unclear

Frage von stLo:

Hi,

I capture my tapes (interlaced) with iMovie HD on the Mac. I want the workflow as any loss of quality by possibly multiple compression. Is it therefore makes sense rather than Quicktime. Dv the footage as Quicktime with codec FotoJpeg (quality 100%) or as an uncompressed avi to export? Will the fields be preserved?

The whole is loaded into Final Cut and then cut. Export behind synonymous on DVD or videotape? Final Cut Pro can. Avi and synonymous with a QT codec Fotojpeg play - or rather. Dv from iMovie?

In some scenes should Effects with After Effects it. I cut the movie finished and export it as Quicktime (Compression again?) And then invite him into AE? Or I take my raw material, edit it in AE (export as Quicktime, re-compression) and load in the Final Cut Pro where I then determined the precise timing?

In the end, I would like interlaced material, but do I need in my workflow, for example, for processing in AE between frames?

grüße, stLo

Antwort von PowerMac:

Recording in iMovie is unnecessary. Therefore, Final Cut Pro for capture take. DV Easy Setup in Final Cut Pro. Cutting and even parts per Quicktime export and import into AE. You have computer hardware, so you cut synonymous in DV!
