I really wonder how you can sell something. The first part is so clunky that it is almost as big as the camera itself (SD 707).
The windscreen extends to the full picture.
The sound is totally fucked, and muffled rauschig. Even a 15 ¬ Vivanco-Microphone Karaoke is for the better ... really!
Most disturbing, however, the constant squealing. The rubber suspension is so shaky that it leads to constantly rubbing sounds. This is a clear faulty.
I really wonder how they can sell such crap. And what must be the thing made of metal? Robust? Yeah. If you want to nail it ... unfortunately the thing is not at all sealed off from the body and touch caused by noise. Great Micro!

The NTG-2 is again much longer than the (stereo)-VideoMic ... do not know with what camera you want to use it but it has a length of just 30cm which on small camcorders could be problematic - especially when used with a Fur-Windshield, you can quickly some "hair" get the picture ... .

I have tested it just by playing on my stereo I have a song and recorded the with the microphones. The handling of Vivanco is of course not really suitable for movies and when touching it roars synonymous something. The sound quality was clear but simple!
I have tested the Sennheiser MKE synonymous-400. That was slightly better than the Rode, but overall synonymous rather bad. Both mics go back.
