Monitor and Plasma TV

Frage von Smartbyte:

TWO SCREENS
Hello, I have a new Windows XP Media Center PC with GeForce 7600 and with myself as *. mpg movies produced. The movies run on the monitor super. At the same time the plasma is just the desktop PC, the best word to see, but the "movies" showing only the framework of the Windows Media Player, Indoor space for the film remains black.
The monitor is s.Analogeingang the video card, the plasma s.Digitalausgang. Do I need both s.einen output hang or can I convert any overlay?
thank you in advance

Hey,

since you're basically at "Video" hardware is not correct. But yes you can look at the general trust here!
I use my Media Center a Radeon 9700 Pro s.laufen, for the reason that I am with the 2-monitor support and TV-am clearly satisfied when, in the Geforce. Because there are always other issues.

I think you clone the picture on the TV monitor and is not using two monitors (ie, TV and computer monitor?)
Place the TV as the primary display device!
Extend the Windows Desktop!
Please check the color settings for the TV in the Display Properties (right mouse button on the desktop -> Settings -> Advanced)

Thereafter, it should actually work. The first point is the wichigste that TV is primary! Otherwise run the accelerator, the Picture calculated only on one device.
(Like s.Laptops if you have a beamer followed that one either on the laptop or on the beamer can see the video!)

Many dear greetings
Constantin

Thank you, I will then need to exchange graphics card.
I know not with what you "clone" mean.

If I've written is unclear: I have an LCD s.Analogausgang and a 107 cm plasma s.Digitalausgang the graphics card.
Thanks in any case

A s.schluß info: I am come that maybe both! Monitors must be turned on when the PC boots up.
Now I still buy a Matrox dual head card.

this will not be necessary, I think. Simply review the settings of your graphics card again carefully:)
under nView settings, or full video, you can adjust everything you need

My theory with the enabled PC screens at Boot goes unfortunately fails.

Since the desktop so on your plasma display, HDCP seems not to have added.

Movies are about one dual head card the best in the so-called theater mode.
Usually there are only 3 DualHead modes:

- Advanced PC screen (the screen display is split across both monitors)
- Klonmodus (TV shows exactly the contents of the PC desktop)
- Theater Mode (can be hot otherwise synonymous with ATI Radeon says so)

In the latter setting, the video playback on the TV guide, while on the PC, only the desktop is visible.

I would not know what a Matrox card may be better than your current If Geforce, but it's drum.
