Infoseite // My 16:9 movie to make my television to a 4:3 frame. Question!

Frage von Poldi:

Hi folks,

s.Euch have a question regarding 16:9.

I recorded in the past my movies in 4:3. Now I have the first time with my
new DV-Cam (SonyHC42) filmed in 16:9 (the cam can be "true" 16:9).
So well, now I have my film processed (Ulead Video Studio 9) and have brought the movie in 16:9 on DVD.

Is this a flaw of me? When I played the DVD on my Fernehgerät (another 4:3) I had no
black bars above and below. Eeigentlich I had thought that one on a 4:3 TV with a 16:9 movie then
Top and bottom has a black bar.
Now I have the DVD will play on my PC once, and because the 16:9 format was visible as I have been thinking it synonymous.
It was obvious right and left anymore. But on my TV was a full screen.
Can someone explain to me?

Danke schon mal for the answers.

LG Poldi

Hi Prince Poldi ;-),

is probably s.DVD player.
As the display: Did you eggheads is synonymous, or is the aspect ratio of normal (so to speak, and reingescannt in the Picture?).

You have in the setup menu of your DVD player set something with "perhaps 4:3 Letterbox. Try something around (under Picture, Image Output, television, etc.). Then klappts synonymous with the bar ;-)
