Hi, I would give my experience for the good - it is not so easy a consumption-and affordable solution in terms of archiving and managing to find videos of:

Itunes and its derivatives are not suitable for a reasonable workflow (; Formateinschränkungfen / reference movies (;!? Cruel btw), etc. - in general, Apple has nothing left for a cross-QT workflow - an eternal theme in all forums around the world ... even if Perian or / and Flip4Mac is installed you must create reference (;!!!!???) movies (and Apple, what do you do again met with at the butt, what did you do with your hands just removed!, part of the whole goes into the 22nd century, another back in Classic times - cry, zeter ...)

After much research and many experiments especially here my recommendation:

"Together" of Reinvented Software - Perian is the extent and / or Flip4Mac anstalliert it does everything costs in the program directly from: mov, avi, mkv, mp4, wmv, flv, etc. - ® 39, -., the videos can be with Tags manage and sort labels, etc. and Comments. Play them in the program itself via QT Player and corresponds to the original. The playback window can be enlarged flowmäßig ... great!

"Manages Together" is actually a project management program and projects and all related files, tags, labels, URLs, PDFs - anything is represented in the program itself, even Apple's IWork documents from Keynote, Numbers and so on. But even without VIDEOS synonymous in all major formats converting! Really great - and I'm actually not related or married with developers Steve Harris.

About iVideo I can not say: In any case, "Together" gives me for a mere $ 19 more a complete file and project management and I do NOT CONVERT MOVIES FOR YOU MANAGE TO MAY! (; Apple vs. Multimedia!)

The support forum is the way the developer himself operated very committed. The only con: The program is so far only in English.
