Frage von keineahnung:
I'm looking for a camcorder, with whom I get sharp videos. Colors are not quite so important, and additional features such as NightShot, etc. are completely unimportant.
Now I have three cameras in the eye, but can not really appreciate it, where the differences lie. Perhaps someone has experience made with the models?
 - CANON XM1
 - NV-GS 250
 - NV-GS 500 (400, there is apparently no longer)
As I said, the sharpness is very important to me, the color is only secondary. (of course, should not be red than green :-))
What is the difference btwn 1,070,000 pixels and 800,000 pixels? I mean, you realize something like this or is it just to remember details, the pros?

... and I really wanted to record a DVD all in 16:9 ...
 Antwort von molch:

The XM1 is unfortunately quite outdated, the picture is quite blurred, and in detail.
16:9 is not used for the first right.
The GS500 is there already much better.
formatbedingt you notice when 3ccd dv cams no distinction between 1MP and 800k pixels, which tied up anyway, only 410k pixel recorded (just pal format).
therefore, most ProfiCAM synonymous only 440,000 pixels.

As in Tests and synonymous here to read in the forum, the GS500 is the sharpness of an expert.

So I had the nv-gs250, now I have the XM1.
the sharpness of both are nearly equal, the color of the XM1 is better.
seems to me the picture in front of the XM1 synonymous detailed.
The XM1 is synonymous much better in the hand and the manual setting possibilities are better.
The only drawback is that the XM1 is no anamorphic 16:9, the GS 250 in turn already.
I do not regret that I nv-gs250 sold and bought the XM1.

That would mean more to advance the GS500 the XM1 ... And what's with the GS300?
How much of the accommodate different makes of 1 / 6 sensors as opposed to 1/4.7? I think those are just under 250 EUR difference - are justified?
Unfortunately I can not find any tests or comparisons ... :-(((
The GS300 can record real synonymous anamorphic? (Better than 4:3 or the same?)

None has any tips about this?

Hello,
I had already written recently about what the two can compare quite well since I is GS 500 & XM 2 (XM 1 Predecessor essentially the same) are often used for the same situations have:
GS 400 vs XM 2 GS 500 has even more features than GS 300 so eg from the head:
Battery included larger CGA DU 14
 wired remote
 Larger sensors - already described
 Pro Cinema mode (25 P)
 manual level control
 more resolution
 Focus Ring
Semi / broadcast models use pixel shift sometimes vertical / horizontal (I think Pana HVX 200), XM 2 in a direction that increases the picture quality already set, one must be careful as it can not just have 430,000 to 480,000, just like broadcast models often IT - CCD ' s use.

So the features are not really important to me so. The question is rather whether it is worth spending so much more money for the 500s or 300s one synonymous ranges. But if the 500 (eg due to the larger sensors) makes a far better picture, I would be synonymous to spend more money - but not for battery or remote control or sound (sound, I do not need anyway, because I have the Ext in the studio recording)

GS 300 picture quality is very similar to the GS 500, at least for me.
 That indeed is synonymous Comparison of CCD 1 / 4, 7 "vs 1 / 6 guess," we are not talking of 1 / 3 "or 1 / 2" CCD.
