Infoseite // New Sennheiser MKE400 does not - what I do wrong?

Frage von fabchannel:

Hello,

I have bought me a MKE400. Battery purely set and filmed (Canon HV30). You hear no sound. The built-in micro camera works.

At the micro lights synonymous the "batt" lamp not. It only flashes briefly when I turn the slide switch for the wind noise damper out or herschiebe.

As Batteries I have both the Microphone attached as synonymous of a freshly made Ten pack. Always the same.

Does the battery indicator lights constantly if everything is ok? Then yes that would mean that the Battery rausnehmen always be with you when the shooting stops.

I thought that the Microphone is perhaps anschaltet when the camera is s.die Jack and the recording starts, but synonymous then the battery indicator lights do not. And, as said above, the thing is just not on.

Maybe someone can think of what you say.

Greetings of

Jürgen

Maybe you need in the Camera of "Internal Microphone" to "External Microphone" switch? Look in the menu.

As far as I know, the lamp was lit only briefly, I was trying the synonymous Prob.

I recommend synonymous times in the Camera menu to look.

I've always s.Recording the Mics Phantom Speissung with devices connected, so I can you Bzgl the HV 30 give no hint

Well, the solution was pretty amazing. In the manual of the camcorder was actually nothing relating to "external Microphone on / off" or things like that.

I've abandoned it and thought to myself that I have time to go dealer and ask him what's going on.

When wrapping the microphone in the box then I see something about his absence, I wondered the whole time was: the instruction manual of the microphone! If after such a kind Zierpappe inserted. And as it was then that the brief flash of the "batt" display when you flip the switch on the wind noise damper moves, shows that the battery voltage is correct. Only when the battery is weak, the display lights up permanently.

And the wind noise damper slide switch is in fact the on / off switch of the microphone. Only if he exactly between "on" and "off" is, it means that the Micro s.ist plus wind noise attenuation.

Well yes, I can now go to bed, and tomorrow I'll try the directivity of the microphone from outdoors. In the room, the sound of all sides so reflected.

So, thank you for your support!

Yes, but it is a pretty stupid design.

A light has to shine, if what is on.
If you want to save their power, take a designer prefer a toggle switch or a slide switch with clearly visible red box in activated position. Is not only better, but spared the synonymous control electronics for the LED.
This story has been repeatedly to an empty battery in my MKE300 run. And the battery to get underway synonymous not s.jeder gas.

I see such faulty lately more and more frequently.
Very popular at the moment power switch s.der
Rear of the device.
It is not only no longer see whether or not switched on, but must be synonymous with the handling of the whole device forward tug, in order to grasp it.

Anyone who thinks such a nonsense from?

Hello!
Sennheiser has already learned a little.
At the MKE 300 has the simple Aufblitzerei actually meant that we often forgot the part in question.
New at the MKE 400 is now decreasing in the Battery LED display the "batt" permanently begins to shine. The Manual indicates that
Length light is a slowdown in the Battery and the info that s.jetzt (the
first permanent lights) or approximately 50 hours of operation remain.
Beautiful course, would be a steady signal for the switch condition ...... but still.

Moin Jens,

what is this radical critique?
1. The battery control to always shine would MKE400 during the lifetime of 300 hours to approximately 140 hours reduced. But you can have the Microphone times a week start.
2. The thing is called battery control and not Power. How should the battery is always in control because luminous LED work? - If they are no longer lit, the battery is empty. That is not to gain a great deal, too late!
3. The clearly visible red box when the Microphone would be in position low cut (wind symbol) Approx 1.5 x 3mm in size

The solution as the MKE400 with the flashing of the LED is synonymous with other microphones, such as when MKE300 when K6/ME66. The beyerdynamic synonymous solution is not so much different, this is only an additional battery control switch position with luminous LED introduced. The good but not as a synonymous term indicator, because the Micro in this position while working, but an increased power consumption and thus lower battery life has additional pipes may occur.
For many video cameras or microphones, "there is no LED indicator for battery or Einschaltzustand

Incidentally, the Battery for the MKE400 are s.jeder gas.

Many greetings

mikroguenni
