Hello, on imported AVI clips with Premiere Pro CS4 "HOST", of the Camera SonyDCR-PC100E, the clips in the timeline with no audio playing. The waveform in the audio will not be displayed. In the media player of Windows, VLC and Nero Showtime, the same clips without any problems with sound is played. Has someone already had the same problem and have already found a solution?

Hallo Wolfi, I have exactly the same problem. Total mad: I have 4 DV tapes of 2 different cameras there. When one camera is not at issue in the other is the picture but no sound in Premiere CS4 available. In the other players, everything is OK. I already have a new sequence with 32kHz tried. Does not synonymous. Have you found a solution now?
Many greetings Dirk

Unfortunately, no! I was told that this is a codec problem. The best way to solve this problem was a complete reinstall of MS XP Pro. I work with the video card MATROX RT.x 2nd The is supposed to be the culprit. I will probably say with a new try. Gruß Wolfgang

Typical error: The sound is on another output device output. If the camera still depends s.Firewire port, it could be the premiere of the file on this port "to preview" ausspielt. Then you have a picture but no sound. So look, whether in the settings, the preview on the PC monitor is set. Synonymous Can a video card with audio out, or so, then where the sound is present, but where no speaker depends. A popular error, which is long search for Taken, although it is logical eigenltich:) This is of course only one possibility. Wrong codec ..... I hardly think

In this case - and, unfortunately, synonymous in my (no preference whether a project under CS4 with RT X.2 or as "normal" DV Project - is the problem as described above, that does not synonymous "waveform" is displayed is. I can be with me the source of errors synonymous not yet localized. Some one week prior to import videos can be played. Other, newly imported videos and videos of synonymous another calculator with the same settings do not. Quite strange. Even with these links to http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:Why_is_there_no_audio_on_the_timeline%3F I was not next. This problem is partly so synonymous in the Adobe forum discussion. Let's see, when the country finally here and the bed is in sight;)
- Edited -- Still no bed in sight, but this country: for some reason, the videos, which were imported without sound (though the icon in the Project window, the opposite states), with 32 kHz instead of 48 kHz. It does not matter whether I get a cut window with a sample rate of 32 or 48 kHz used. This does not, on the audio track from within Premiere (yes especially video window and cut only once independently of each other). With VirtualDub (synonymous in batch mode), the sample rate of 32 to 48 kHz increased and lo and behold, first make an approximation and the sound is now with them - and my bed in sight:)
