alte Filmrollen, was hab ich hier? (Foto)

Old film reels, what I'm here? (Stillimage)

Frage von Scorp.ius:
Juni 2006

Hi!

I found these roles in the basement. These belonged to my grandfather, and now I would be very interested, of course, what is the matter so much.

Can anyone tell me what this is exactly and how long these roles are well? I have three of these large roll (diameter about 20.5 cm?), two medium and three small (diameter about 12.5 cm)

is the super 8? how many minutes are probably on those bands?
The duration of such bands would stop me interested because I would have liked to MiniDV, and this will surely be calculated by the minute.

Antwort von bea:

Hi,
If S8.
The length I can not remember exactly. I would look.
The minute to digitize costs about 2 Euros.
Then there is the so-postpro to cut, title?, Music correction?, Color?, Frame correction?, Authoring, depending on the effort.
I can give you something.
Is my job.
If you care: here is my mail: Benny-Ashoff@t-online.de

You just have to look up where the spools are filled. Since strokes and numbers on it. The numbers tell how many feet of film until it is about to dash.

How many minutes, the equivalent then, depends of the starting speed. Most Super-8 film-makers have with saving 18 frames per second filmed, however, the more demanding with 24 frames per second. When sampling is sometimes adjusted the speed s.PAL video. Then there are 16 2 / 3 bps or 25 bps.

1 minutes is about:
4.2 meters in Film (16 2 / 3 bps)
4.5 meter film (18 bps)
6.0 feet movie (24 bps)
6.2 feet of film (25 bps)

Antwort von Scorp.ius:

aha! can the synonymous of meters convert to minutes? I just assume it, that are in 18b / s rotated.

@ bea
So I would just like to DV all times have to watch myself at all times, what is there on it. wenns what I would do it then the film itself:)

Had you yourself can make synonymous: roll a piece of film and subsequent control / count how many pictures are for example 1 meter. ;)

Antwort von Wiro:

Hello,
synonymous, it is still a question of whether a magnetic track is present or not.

It can be roughly assumed that the small coils are about 1 / 4 hours long, the larger just under 1 / 2 hours. Only in this way as a guide.
