Hi,

So I make it around so long now, but it's still not fun approach to cut.

Example:

1 ClipCanon5D is of me like this brought into Final Cut.

1. Applied to the Mac
2. Use Compressor to convert to ProRes (not HQ) here alone does the 20sec clip to convert an approximately 4-5min. whether s.Mac Pro with 16GB Ram or s.Mac Book with 4 GB Ram.
3. After opening with Final Cut, pull on the timeline and clip properties fit: YES!
4. Real Time (unlimited)

Take dasCanonImport tool for Final Cut Pro (it has been around for a year!) Or MPEG Streamclip, both free of charge - and if you like color correction or something must render despite ProRes true, then once synonymous not the sequence settings, or your current ProRes files have already blown it.

You can refer me as s.einen appropriate thread? DasCanonTool is synonymous for Mac? What is the difference to Compressor and ProRes conversion and how should my sequence settings look like in the ideal case, is there a guide synonymous?

Of course you can go wrong in Compressor lot. The Canon Plug-in can be found on the Canon site - that you will find yourself synonymous.

Sample Workflow with the EOS Movie Plugin-E1:

Once your CF or SD memory card into a reader's computer s.den set connected, the following steps to import images to help EOS Movie Plugin-E1:
In Final Cut Pro, choose File> Log and Transfer. The Log and Transfer window should pop up and shows thumbnails of all media to the CF card in the left column.

In the Log and Transfer window, choose Preferences from the Action menu (the gear-shaped icon of the window, see above).

import and transcode your preferred Apple codec.
In the "Import settings, select 'Canon DSLR' as the source and then select the transcode to the format of your choice (such as ProRes 422).

According to your wishes is selected, press the OK button to back to the Log and Transfer window.

Select a thumbnail to view clip (s) in the right preview window and put in and out points, as needed.

Add Character names / numbers, scene data and other information in the logging and environment as needed.

Drag and drop the clip (s), or press Choice reserve button "Add to queue or the clip - button (below the preview window) to move your media to transfer list pane in the lower left-hand page.

From the transfer queue media are all auto imports and transcoded. The transcoded files in the browser section of your project window will appear, ready to go directly to the timeline.


Addition: Do not transfer over USB (I mean Log & Transfer, in the absence of a card slot s.Mac do I go once a USB of course). The entire DCIM folder of the card to the hard-drive copy Mac and behind the oe gear in the Log Window "own path" rejected. Otherwise it will be tough.

Thank you for the first time AXEL because if a well is usually not, then certainly as a detailed explanation, I thank you very much and will deal now out with.

A few questions, specifically as regards the transfer. I s.Mac Book Pro so an Express Card slot - I wanted to now connect a card reader and then transferred to the memory card, but that is yes, then via USB ....

Can you tell me how I cut to the etc merge the clips again snippets to do? So far, I've always used all the effects etc s.jedem snippets and then copied to the next, which was very time consuming.

You'd have all the clips after the first or the created clip cutting back spending in ProRes and only then the CC (Color Correction) to make .... in ProRes and DNxHD AVID can make the quasi-lossless

I understand the question not so fairly. They want on it but do not generally have the same effect everywhere. But if you please:

'You can take the sequence with its 500 clips into a "new sequence. It is then "nested" and responding (up to double-click!) As a single clip (on which you could apply a filter). This is good if you have a half-hour film, which is accessible from 5-minute scenes, you draw s.Schluss into a main movie sequence. This is bad if you nested in other parts of such a nesting nestings occur anytime and make a logical error (Final Cut Pro does not warn before). Then your project is in the ass.

Against time effects in Final Cut Pro is nothing wrong, but is it synonymous with transitions or split-screen stuff is not. Simple items are synonymous okay.

For better image effects are Motion: Timeline clip right click> send to> Motion.

For the whole image, the corrections, the colors, the style and look, there is color. Sequence (not nested, one track!) In the browser> right click> send to> Color.

For the sound ....

All Postpro from the peripheral programs is again reflected back into your Final Cut Pro Project.

... or do you mean export s.Schluss? Apple + E and then Shift (specify location and name s.besten) renders the currently opened timeline (made so far in rejecting all render files, which makes the in-between rendering it redundant) as an independent film. Depending on the number of effects, etc. may take a long time, especially if you have specified in the Render Control "highest quality" (renders in higher color depth), but what else can you do?

Do you want to export only a certain part of the timeline, you must select the previously with i + o.
