Hello Users,
My PC plays back the last few days, no more vids in Avi_Format.
There were already times a similar problem here, but I have nothing s.Einstellungen, software, or similar change. Of just worked one day to no more.
Have synonymous with the program "GSpot" the Avi_Vids loaded, but there are no missing codecs, everything was all green.
Währe really a tip of you experts grateful.

Virtually synonymous GSpot, I had been synonymous AVIs, which did not run even though no conflicts were reported. Perhaps we can even eliminate some mistakes ...
- Running generally not AVIs? Ie no file with the suffix has. "Avi", can take place? Running other video files?
- Is it all AVIs have been tested for in order to exactly the same type of AVI? (eg all MPEG4 AVIs or all DV-AVI)
- What are the different players you use? As manifested the problem exactly? (crashes the PC crashes, from the player indicates the player a black picture shows the player an error message, ...)

So, my computer does nothing when AVI stands behind everything else (mpeg, wmv, .....) plays great. Sometimes I do not even get to load AVI VID, because I just keep the mouse on the Vid-file, click synonymous without it, hangs it on the calculator completely, so it is probably not s.Player (BS-Player, Real Player, Quick Time Player, VLC player ...)
However, I only download the player, and then the video into the player, plays the Vid.
I know that sounds weird, but true.

That with the crash when the mouse is over the AVI, sounds very strange. You say you've changed nothing s.System, you're still an image, you can fall back on? How it looks like with viruses, once scanned?
Even more remarkable is the fact that the AVIs but can be started by the player.
However, I only download the player, and then the video into the player, plays the Vid. This applies to all players?
Perhaps a problem with the file type linkages between the individual player. I would try and install all the players to de-and then again.

This is definitely a codec problem. windows is trying to create a preview image to analyze the video or any other way, and thus is not clear because the codec is missing. btw: can you leave this very annoying feature by going to run on start -> then type regedit, and then deletes under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ SystemFileAssociations \. avi \ shellex \ PropertyHandler the entry. back to your problem: the codec is installed goodbye with you for some basic, but after reinstalling divx everything should run again. So, if you have a problem synonymous times, my avi vids super run again
