I have detailed information on both models and is just before the Purchase. The devices can operate well and are well in hand.
Now I have an offer for a used 180 and get myself only question should I take a naked 180 or a well-equipped 80?
I want to benefit the unit for the family but synonymous around to film festivals, but I will not exclude the camcorder I ambitious fan and therefore would be to me a few features of the GS-180, such as micro port very much.

Do you have your decision will not have long taken? - At a microphone port, you can not really avoid if you have more than just a general atmosphere would like ... ;-)

Sure, the question is how much you want to spend.
If you still connect an external Micro, then you should make sure that a header Cam Phones connection has.
How important are your manual settings? Manual focus via joystick is often difficult. Then make sure that the camera has a focus ring
