The hard drive needs its own power supply so that it works. I have an iPod with Firewire port, so fluscht are synonymous. Simply the Hvx with the hard drive to format and go.

Which ipod do you use? and how exactly does the transmission? 've consulted the manual, but there is only that you can send a firewire hard drive can connect to data to copy. how do you directly record? can the data from the ipod then synonymous back in the viewer back to play? have recently launched a hvx 201 and would be reluctant to buy a fire engine, if it is a cheaper alternative exists.
