Infoseite // Panasonic NV-GS 180 Problem: film editing with Vista

Frage von Nicole S.:

Hello,

maybe someone can help me here? I have for Christmas a Panasonic NV-GS 180 will receive a gift. Since my old computer in the film is certainly in the knees would be gone, I have a laptop with Vista purchased. This was probably not a good idea because the software of Panasonic MotionDV STUDIO 5.3E LE runs on Vista and provides updates Panasonic synonymous unfortunately not yet on. Since then, I am with this software does not come next, I search for an alternative to all cases is running on Vista. Can you give me a tip for an easy-to-use movie editing program? Said at first: The Movie Maker on my laptop it was not because he allegedly does not recognize the camera. Someone knows whether the distiller 6 Ulead movie really runs on Vista? On skills test, it would be of course if it were a program with which the camera directly through the software can be operated, as is alleged in MotionDV STUDIO 5.3 to work.
Would be great if you could help me. I'm in film editing absolute novice.

Viele Grüße Nicole

Hi Nicole,

Magix Video Deluxe 2007/2008 is suitable and a great tool, so it costs around 70 Euros. Find out just www.magix.de. Synonymous Here you will find a pdf file with all the info.

Here is the excerpt, because of compatibility:

"For Microsoft ® Windows ® VistaTM, XP and Microsoft ® Windows ® 2000"

Hi Nicole,

a change to XP is synonymous not a panacea, because MotionDV STUDIO 5.3E LE although the recordings can import beautiful, but no Mpeg2 codec (for DVD-quality) brings. The play dealt with things back to your camcorder at the GS180 should funktioniren not synonymous (missing FireWire input).

Magix Video Deluxe 2007/2008 is very good. But mostly I come with free software quite well.

Currently I try Womble MPEG Video Wizard DVD "(30Tage trial date reset to ;-) Edit (Patterns, Effects, transcoding, DVD authoring)

For importing the videos of the CAM via FireWire, there are some freeware tools (eg Scenalyzer etc.)

Hi,

I was just exactly the same problem.
I am some time ago of XP to Vista business, and have now found that the Panasonic software MotionDV Studio "no longer want to install.
And Panasonic is still keien updates ... sad, sad.

In any event, worked with me the following simple workaround:
Easy to install the setup program "vorgaukeln", which is under an XP system would run.

1) Insert the CD
2) Using the Explorer to the directory D: MDVSSetup switch (drive D: is your CD / DVD drive)
3) Right click on Setup.exe and selection of "Properties"
4.) tab "Compatibility" select
5.) where the compatibility mode to WinXP SP2 settings and confirm with OK.
6) Double click on Setup.exe and it can go ;-))

If the program after installation, the startup takes a little while, and it meckert, which makes it something in the registry can not find, but after clicking OK everything works :-))

I must say that I use for video editing MotionDV not use, and it is only for the transmission of videos of Cam to PC use.
For my purposes now works in any event, everything.

Greeting
Wolfpac

People.

Take just Magix Video Deluxe 07th
I think it is the best program. Have the synonymous
GS180 and everything works great.
Although I have no Vista, but at 'nem buddy of mine, who has vista,
runs everything.

But I would advise you, Vista in the future to avoid, because it is useless.
