Hi All,
When planning a new purchase MiniDV up to 800 EUR are to me the above Panasonic models like the eye.
In Comparison of the data sheets I noticed is the only difference is that the GS280 only a DV output, but the GS300 has a DV input and output.
Price difference between the MSRP and dealer prices around $ 100 each.
Justifies this small feature such a price difference, or I might have missed something?
Since the market at the moment I do not know well, it would be nice if you could assess briefly the two models. Are they worth the money, or are there much better in the price range?

the DV IN is used, you should know, movies are burned onto a DVD or back to tape again? If you want a live split-image?
I appreciate the GS 280 / 300 as a very strong one, especially the optical stabilizer, and that's much better Stillimage the previous GS 140 / 150. Why Panasonic has omitted the headphone jack and one Sonyähnlichen Male (S-Video withüberträgt has built-in), probably knows only Pana. Whether you need the new AGS function naja ... The first impressions of the GS 280 It is for me at the top of the price range. And the Panasonic advantages many manual functions, supplied Charger're popular and appreciated.

Thank you for your quick response and the assessment. It is still an older (much worse) with the camcorder so far, I would replay the cut material then to MiniDV.
A live picture will be able to transfer via USB 2.0 to PC / MAC:

Hello Mtb,
As far as I know the USB, the GS is 280 only one output, it's not so much Cam is where the USB an input is synonymous eg Canon MVX 45i or JVC MC 500 -, (yes for webcam function and for capturing the hearing in Forum not many like it ....) you can use.
I thought the FW cut directly to the camera then S-Video / RCA to the TV during the live cut to assess the quality, so the DV IN - so long as the editing program that currently rules ...
About the AGS function, one can argue: (Anti Ground Shooting) function, where in the discontinuation of the camera to the front, on the recording mode, the camera automatically switches to pause, to prevent senseless shooting when the camera is not aimed at forward, but downward .
