Frage von harald85:

Hi s.alle here in the forum

I currently have an old analog camera at home which I will now switch to a digital one. I thought so at the price to 1,000 ¬ with bag, spare battery and storage media. After a little research, I then came across the Panasonic HDC-SD707 which is very good, at least according to test reports and synonymous fit for the future (except of 3d I need not). Now I've read that it is sometimes synonymous are problems with the fan because the micro and the further processing of the video is a bit complicated. So I wanted to ask if anyone here has the camera and say something about the issues? With regard to the processing of 1080p @ 50, I wanted synonymous questions whether a calculator with an Intel Quad Core Q6600 with 2 GB of RAM and a Geforce 8600 sufficient? Are there any good software used synonymous Cuda to the graphics card to use?

Or would you ever recommend a different camera. I want to make family videos but mainly it is synonymous make good pictures in low light at the sample at a concert or similar to make good videos.

Furthermore, I would be interested if the Panasonic SD Card Class 4 (15Mbit / s) is sufficient or whether one class of 10 need?

Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

These issues have been debated here last year in such detail that you with the search of the forum will get all the answers. Therefore only briefly this: the fan problem was perceived very differently, but if it should bother you, Panasonic is now making its service centers in a firmware update that creates this problem from the world. The corresponding change s.der camera is also incorporated since the summer of 2010 in the series, so the SD707 with a purchased today should anyway be an issue anymore.

Right now, I would particularly recommend the purchase decision or postpone something if you have the camera not in dire need. Probably later this week the big Manufacturers will present their new products for 2011, which should s.March in stores, and may be something interesting here. If the purpose for your being late, you're with the SD707 but well served in any case.

Class 4 is sufficient to accelerate faster cards in Classes 6 and 10, however, the transfer of data from the card reader on your computer (the 4 way, stands for at least 4 MB / s = 32 Mbit / s, the SD707 provides a maximum of 28 Mbit / s). But be careful to buy branded cards (Panasonic, SanDisk) in trusted traders, otherwise the risk of getting turned on poor quality fakes.
A little tip: you Lad of the Panasonic website before a purchase the user of the camera down. In it you will find these questions answered first hand.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. The Panasonic already delivers with a new firmware where the problem was reduced fan I did not know.

With respect to wait for the new 2011 is certainly a great idea but unfortunately the end of January I'm flying on holiday and they would of course like to take. I know I'm synonymous for this very late.

Thanks for the tip with the SD cards.
