Hi!
cut on my computer (3.0 GHz Dual Core, 8 GB RAM, Vista Business 64, 1.4 TB HD) I have PPro CS3 and CS4.
Camera: SonyEX-1
With CS3, I can long sequences (80 min), in 1080 25p liquid (up to the crash) edit quite real time, except for very rare reflection.
On weekends, I have a bit of handball, in 720 50p.
Because of the motion representation, I thought.
Have joyfully (for the new CS4 features!) Some 720 50p clips on the timeline, packed, three clips, two minutes together.
And did gestaunt: seconds long response time to press the space bar, the sound will be played clean, but the picture is only as sharp, with five or more seconds.
No serious work possible.
The 5-minute reportage club, I then built into CS3, wonderfully, not even weggekracht, liquid works very nicely.
Unfortunately, because I miss the CS4 features, such as the soundtrack of all clips aufeinmal to normal.
Have I given a configuration error, or must I use a quad to buy?

Have I with HDV on a laptop the same thing. CS3 flutscht wonderful CS4 jerky and harzt. One must still take one or two patches to wait.
