I leave the facility on a Yamaha A / V receiver RX 1200 run, which has no HDMI output, eg if I have a newer Yamaha 1600, the Power of the output has to buy an HDMI, which would then work.
Or are there other solutions?

You want to use the PIP option on your LCD Television and this can only work if one of the images via DVI / HDMI will be fed? Right? If so, the LCD is completely no preference whether you will cut a further signal source is only an audio receiver. However, whether this makes sense, I think is improbable, especially since you will not feed many HDMI sources.
