Infoseite // Pinnacle PCTV 110i - DivX or MPEG?

Frage von Ferdinand:

Hello,

I have a TV card of Pinnacle PCTV and although the 110i. I would like to old VHS tapes digitizer and also record TV programs. I'm not sure what format I should use, DivX or MPEG?

Which format is better and less complicated vorallem video editing programs? (eg to advertise rauszuschneiden etc.)

I want the big video Gigabyte naturally smaller and would need to turn a program that can compress very well.

Of all the recordings I would like to create DVDs, both 700MB AVI files ... at least I would be happy if this is somehow on a recording is possible ....

What can you recommend me so?

MfG
Ferdinand

Counter-question: Have you ever tried to cut DivX? This is pure masochism! ;-)

Therefore: MPEG (specifically: MPEG2 with 720 × 576 pixels, 25 fps, interlaced). Anything else you would later cause problems when it comes to burning DVD's.

These are a few details:
DVD-Video

PS: The easiest way and higher quality would be the use of an ordinary Harddisks-/DVD-Recorders. Honestly, I do not understand why so many people try their PC television to teach ... ;-)

TMPGEnc is very good, especially synonymous, in view of its low price. Better are the Canopus ProCoder Express and the ProCoder.
