Frage von mecs:

Hello,

I have the following problem: On my last reflectors (4 x 1000 watts) already rauszuhauen one from the backup. So far I have connected the radiator directly s.The outlet, which is of course much too bright. Now I want to buy me dimmers. As far as I have it but have been overlooked einzellne dimmer pigs expensive. Apparently it is cheaper to buy a DMX dimmer pack that same controls all four devices simultaneously. When I look now, but think that I will hang all four reflectors s.einen circuit must I can guess that the backup will be back raushüpft.
As far as I am informed correctly, each lamp at full power draws about 4 amps (1000 / 230), which means I'll be there a total of over 16 A, where 16 A is probably now the default value for backups in the private sector. Then I can run my radiator yes to not at full power.
My question is, how can I connect my radiator s.besten and dim without spending a fortune, and that I can run my radiator synonymous flexible s.anderen locations.

The problem is that it spotlights normalerweiese operate via power cables should. Normal outlets are not suited and not designed synonymous. Flexible use they can therefore usually only when a power cable is in the vicinity.

Electric Power is, for example when found. If you know not very complicated. We may do it but not itself, an electrician must be devised (there you might otherwise be taken as s.end) from the second part of the great white shark, and is then clamped to a cable, with which you to such a

Distributors can go. Here are 63 amps, which is at most the House leadership, 32 amps synonymous's doing.
Seriously, in your place I would use two 16 amp circuits. If the backup flies even in a lamp, which is not true in with the ground.
Moreover, one can argue about the effectiveness of 4 x 1000 watts. It depends from the set.

Note:
Even if the lights are dimmed, the same current, better drawn: Power from the line.
The dimming function as a dimmer acts as resistance.
And the performance of the lamp which he "steals" (figuratively speaking), he transformed himself into heat.

then you will have opportunities 2:
a separate circuit for each lamp.
Or take weaker bulbs.

If in AC instead of a typical DC resistance is not used but rather a phase-angle-cut or control?

Antwort von Phyro-Mane:

depends, how high the resolution.
In the merry-foot slide dimmers for lamps is simply a potentiometer inside. Often, if any.
And a direct current resistance is probably typical, but it works well with alternating current.
In higher grade devices (I'd no lights s.so a foot section hanging), it is certainly the case that is dispensed with potentiometer. And that's synonymous a good thing.

If this were so, then the dimmer but damn hot. For example, if a 500-watt Uplight runterdimmt to 100 watts, would be the dimmer then heated with 400 watts. That is probably not even true.

An electrical resistance certainly lowers the amperage and thus power. The 40-watt bulb consumes so synonymous only less electricity than the 100-watt bulb, because their resistance is greater.

Then I'll probably have to bring the power of multiple circuits, and the problem still remains with the dimmers, because what I've found so far (http://www.thomann.de/de/botex_up1.htm) I really expensive with 66 ¬ per lamp ...
