Hello dear experts!
I am a beginner, which is the copying of your camcorder to my computer or the DVD is concerned.
I use this program PowerDirector 3rd With the program, I can now film copy in two ways, namely as
1. General-purpose video in AVI format
2. Video for Film Production of disc (format not specified)
Now my questions:
What is in simple words, because even the difference?
Which format has the better quality, particularly as regards the creation of a back-up is concerned?

for a backup of the data should preferably remain unchanged. From the information does not doubt to read out what option would be better.
"General Purposes" is not a specific statement and AVI is just a container format (see synonymous
Magix AVI can not read). The "production of video for movie disc" can open the question whether the original data or whether a specific (different) compression format is generated (depending on the type of disc).
