Infoseite // Premiere CS 4 keeps crashing

Frage von Jörnson:

Hi All,

I've just seen the Adobe Premiere CS 4 installed and I looked forward to working with problem-free. But wrongly conceived. When I invited the raw material have yet everything was in order, only if I would like to see this happening in the Source window, either do nothing or the program crashes. The same happens when I use the material in the timeline would pack up and then cut there. For selected audio and video tracks I can place cuts, but when I click delete the clips and would like to premiere crashes again.
The problem is that I use Premiere CS4 has, since the raw materials are AVCHD files, which can only be invited Of Premiere CS4, without prior conversion. To my knowledge, no other program supports the codec.
Nu know someone how can I solve this problem? Is this perhaps a standard problem? Asking for immediate help.
Here's just the data of my PC:

Windows XP Professional SP3
Intel Core 2 Quad Q67002.67GHz
4GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

S.Infos that enough?
Hope someone ne home-grown solution.

Many thanks and cheers

Maybe it will help overcome a clean installation of PPro CS4. That PPro happy ever lock in a project that is running properly on another system, unfortunately, happens quite frequently.

Alternatively, I recommend Canopus Edius NEO2/5.12, the extremely stable. With an update for about 50 ¬ will soon be synonymous native AVCHD editing be possible.

Antwort von AxelM:

Have you installed the latest update (version 4.1.0)?

Was previously installed a trial version or CS3? If so, then it may be that CS3 has left the remains and remove them collide with CS4.

Then the following steps are announced:
By means of uninstalling CS4 CleanScript CS4
Deinstallation of CS3 mittels Clean Script CS3
The registry manually cleaned of remnants of CS3.
Only then install CS4 completely.
