Infoseite // Premiere Pro - AMD or pentium

Frage von MiXMaster:

Dear Forum,
I want or need me to assemble a new PC system, because my old hergibt not enough power.
I had an AMD 64bit processor with 3.5 to 4 GHz in the eye, because you want to be very good and powerful.
Question: What is for working with Adobe Premiere Pro better, an AMD or Pentium 4 processor?
Otherwise, I wanted to install 2GB DDR2-Ram and two S-ATA2 hard disks. To this end I've had to call a suitable motherboard, the names I've just not here. If these devices work best for me, Adobe Premiere Pro or someone here has better suggestions?
Thank you very much,
HG

Hello,

I work synonymous with an AMD, but still 32bit, not a 64er. If you use Windows, and which have the 64bit version, there should be no problem in Adobe Premiere. I work with S-ATA disks and normal DDR Ram, 1Gb. Adobe is running flawlessly for me. I would take under the current circumstances, no Pentium, because the AMD is currently faster. (Note, however, which guarantees respect for AMD, might be a problem)
Do you have a video card?
What kind of graphics card for?
I also recommend only (!) Asus boards!

Maybe someone else has another tip for you!?
I would be so fully satisfied!

Many dear greetings

First of thank you for the answer!
A video card, I have not but would like to buy a Matrox RTX.100 Extreme Pro is financially once the inside, the new PC erstmal ;-)...
Grafikkartenmäßig me is the relatively no preference, I use the PC (the current and new) to 95% for Adobe applications, so Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Encore. PCI Express should have but then you have told me because of the connections on the mainboard.
Is it on the processor choice synonymous consider something when it comes to Vídeoschnittkarten as the Matrox RTX.100 Extreme Pro?
Thank you again,

HG

Hmm, I would invest in a dual-core system (eg AMD64 X2 3800): even video editing programs support zunehemend the second core, and which then brings a significant Pros s.Leistung.

For AMD (pronounced day-CT) of the lower Preisner, generally better performance and less power consumption

Apart from Adobe seems to be always attuned to Intel-based systems and then not run on AMD systems are not synonymous SSE2 / 3 support (SSE is supported synonymous of AMD, but it always takes a little longer until the latest AMD CPUs SSE Version control)

Ok, so I did some research:
A "CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 +" can account for about 200 ¬ / has the following:

Level 1 Cache: 256KB Level 2 Cache: 1.024kB, instruction sets: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, AMD64, Cool 'n' Quiet, NX-bit, clock speed: 2.000MHz, Bus clock: 1.000MHz () HyperTransport, Core Voltage: 1.3 V, type: OPGA, Socket 939, Manchester AMD64 dual-core CPU.

So, SSE2 and SSE3 he can. That still would be a good choice, right?
Thank you all,
HG

The question "What editing software / encoder using dual core processors?" is very exciting.

But dual cores are just 7-8 months on the market, and video is a niche in the PClerei ... therefore, the lack of experience in the video field. So, even jumping into cold water or wait ...

When you jump, keep us posted ;-)

Good luck

or wait until the new Pentium D 900 here - the fight with her 2x2048 MB cache synonymous quite well:

And the vga card should not be synonymous with weak - is even more important - see Video Coding with ATI Envivo ...

Hello, "HG"

if you want to upgrade later RT.X100, then you ought to very carefully s.The compatibility lists of Matrox and keep your PC assemble under these guidelines. Otherwise, would face in the future to further expenditure for compatible hardware on you - or burst the dream of the RT.X100. ;-)

Hi Mark,
bring NLE editing cards in today's processor power or anything (except) the outputs? And they even support HDV editing?

Thanks, the Franzz
