Recently, I have a sony DCR SR 55 and the clips I can on my laptop synonymous in windows media player to play with ton ... when I look at the clips now but in the project window of premiere pro cs3 import is not a ton there!

HDD camcorders save the sound usually in Dolby Digital (AC3). This is an audio format hochkomprimiertes and thus poorly suited for the post.
The Choice of a video editing software you have to carefully examine whether AC3 can be processed. This is more likely to be in entry-level programs of the case, as advanced and so willing to follow videographers (not evaluating meant to me was just no better formulation) tend not to shoot higher compressed formats.
