Infoseite // Problem 4:3 Letterbox / JVC GY5000E

Frage von fabs-online:

Hi my dears ...

We have the following problem. The JVC GY5000E records only 4:3 or 4:3 letterbox. When dubbing, Adobe Premiere, we have a shrink to picture with black bars above and below. At the same time we have had to run a SonyDCR camera, there "arises" after dubbing a "true" 16:9 picture with no bars.

These two cameras are now being added on average together ... but how? Must we now scale the entire JVC recordings? (which of course means loss of quality) ... or are there other options?

Thanks & good Sunday!

Antwort von tommyb:

You could be synonymous to scale the images of the other camera ... but that also means sacrificing quality.

And now? No matter what you choose, both will not be as good as a true 16:9 picture.

So?

JVC to scale the 16:9 anamorphic, then the quality remains the Sony anniversary.

or

Scale the SONY to 4:3 letterbox, then you lose quality, but both cameras are then 4:3 letterbox.

In your place I'd rather take the first path, for the Picture of a Sony DCR Irgendwaskamera (you may, unfortunately, are hiding) - but does not look like - even worse than 16:9 in the Picture of the JVC in 4:3 LB.

can only agree with the TommyB and got itself a 5001er jvc, signal processing, the cam is so good that even after the upscale image in ule, with a sony dcr something very good keep up.
Original material of jvc, 4:3 for me the best mini-dv material (qv).
