Infoseite // Problem during the import of avi-file into iMovie

Frage von Jonathan:

Hello,

I have a problem.
I want more clips, which started long time ago a friend of DV on the PC into avi import into iMovie. In about half of the clips are synonymous work. But on the other half, it will import the clips, but they can not see it and it appears only a black screen, unplayable. The total length of the clip can not there be agezeigt

Now I can play the clips but normally in Quicktime without a problem. There is, however, provides that during these very short clips synonymous s.end comes a black screen.

My guess now is that about recording errors were made, such as between 2 point shots and her wound was so that the transitions were no longer running?

If this is the case, I bräcuhte only one program where I can cut out this photo black s.end so he can read the time, right? If so, with what program does it work?

Would be great if someone know an answer! Thanks in advance times already!

My PC Data:
MAC OS X 10.4.7
2GHZ Intel Core Dui
2GB DDR2 SDRAM

Currently only video editing program iMovie

I'm not sure what's wrong here. But since going on the Quicktime files, Quicktime Pro would be the solution for you. Appear the same as in small riders iMovie s. below the edge of the window in QT Player and you can trim the clip. Besides, you can export it as Quicktime DV with the extension. Mov.
Quicktime pro can hold more way: Sometimes fast audio capture or synonymous, well, and just hastily transformed into a series of codecs) (via Open> Export.
Good luck!

Thanks for your quick response!

Ok that sounds good times already. Is there still a less costly alternative to solve the problem. So a different program with which you can export trim clips?

Cheaper than 30 ¬?
Conversion of all sorts, there are thousands of free tools that you can find at Google. Keyword "X2Y for Mac", eg "avi2mov for Mac. This is actually not a real issue, as indeed is generally no Quicktime Avi has a problem. As I said, no idea what's wrong with the files.
