Infoseite // Problem with DVCAM PD170 and

Frage von hofmae:

Hi All,

I have a problem with the bran PD170.

I have Ulead Media Studio 8

If I want to capture the material () With the Capture Mode from the Media Studio, the picture somehow not "optimal". But on the camera everything is set perfectly (Manual). Can it be that this software with the DVCAM format is not working so well?

In addition, the almost even bigger problem: Whenever I am with 16:9 movies I then s.PC above and below a thin black border to the tiny transparent / white line s.Rand above and below ... Does anyone know this phenomenon?

Hi,
with the 16:9 that is already an almost normal abnormality ^ ^.
the 16:9 mode is pd but synonymous niocht very good.
the better you can shoot in 4:3 and then change later s.pc.

And what do you call less than ideal if you have the captured material via firewire?

Hello,

where did you get the "Picture not perfect" judged? But hopefully not s.PC Monitor! Other color space, other resolution, progressive / interlace, ... see the difference between PC and TV monitor.

The first and last image line can be recorded entirely in DV-disturbed, which is usually located in the Overscanbereich and is not visible. At 16:9 you can the first and last image line simply cut away. As for the quality of the 16:9 recording at the PD170, so the differences are revealed only at the direct (pixels -) Comparison to a recording with anamorphic lens. Learn more about this you will find here: VX 2100 sample image ...?

As I said, since you probably will remain only the possibility to crop the image above and below.
I know not how the media studio to me about.

Again I found something. If I switch to progressive scan mode, the stripes are gone, but I do not want to film there because the 16:9 mode is not supported directly. In what could be the stripes are, you have both when I capture with Premiere as synonymous with Ulead

Antwort von Markus:

The stripes are in interlace video perfectly normal, that is no fault of your camcorder (see my links) above. If you call any function in cropping the image (one synonymous crop (ping)) to find 1-2 lines, you could alternatively create a mask image with an image editing program and make the video overlay.

Maybe you can save synonymous with the title role of the camera these lines and masking time when rendering.

The PD170 is optimized to 4:3. For 16:9 productions, I would pick up the duration to a different camera. Since there is a lack s.Resolution in the PD170.

Theoretically yes, but practically makes the PD170 pretty good. Look in my thread
